Short Bio

Dr. Delaney W. La Rosa, EdD, MSN Ed, RN, is a Teaching Professor of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare at Florida State University's College of Nursing, where they founded and coordinate the MSN AI in Healthcare track, one of the first nursing programs of its kind nationally. A national voice on responsible AI in nursing education, they serve on the American Board of Nursing Artificial Intelligence and the AACN Emerging Technologies Task Force. As a Native American scholar, Dr. La Rosa approaches this work as a means of sustaining both culture and care.

Dr. Delaney W. La Rosa, EdD, MSN Ed, RN, is a Teaching Professor of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare at Florida State University's College of Nursing and the founder of AI Nurse Nexus, where they lead initiatives that connect AI innovation with equitable healthcare delivery. They serve as Director at Large of the American Board of Nursing Artificial Intelligence and as a member of the AACN Emerging Technologies Task Force, positions from which they help shape how the profession governs the adoption of these systems. Their authority draws on a career spanning clinical practice, healthcare entrepreneurship, research administration at Yale University, service as Assistant Professor in the School of Graduate Medical Education at Mayo Clinic, and academic leadership including prior service as an Associate Dean, giving them a cross-sector vantage on the institutional, policy, and accreditation constraints that determine whether AI initiatives succeed. A former Steinbronn Endowed Professor in Artificial Intelligence and a sought-after speaker across healthcare, higher education, technology, and business audiences, Dr. La Rosa approaches AI governance with a consistent emphasis on human judgment, ethical oversight, and the preservation of relational care.
